Subject: District 3 Partners Against Crime Message builder impact fees to
support schools in Durham

 

Durham County needs our support by garnering signatures to a petition to be
sent to Durham County's legislative delegation. We need to strongly
encourage them to do all that is necessary for the N.C. General Assembly to
give the county the authority to assess builder impact fees to benefit
public schools in Durham.

Durham County had assessed builder impact fees for schools during 2004 until
the state courts ruled that the county had to have legislative permission to
assess such fees.
