ART GROWS IN DURHAM
Come to the SEEDS Annual Garden Party!

Music, capoeira, garden art for sale, kids' activities, plants, food and 
more!

SATURDAY, JUNE 4 , 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., in the SEEDS Demonstration Garden
706 Gilbert Street, Durham, NC

The SEEDS Demonstration Garden is at the corner of Elizabeth and Gilbert 
Streets, near downtown Durham.

WHAT IS SEEDS?
SEEDS promotes community gardening in the inner city, provides after 
school programs for neighborhood and homeless kids, and hires teens to 
grow produce in our mini-farm to sell at the Durham Farmers' Market.  
SEEDS encourages respect for life, for earth and for each  other by 
helping individuals, neighborhoods and communities grow together through 
 gathering, gardening and education.

* Paperhand Puppet Intervention
* Capoeira
* Jazz & Brazilian Guitar
* Peter Merkz Drummers

Artists & Craftspeople include:
* Michelle Gonzales--Yard art
* Panzola McMillon & Marika Wendelken--Jewelry
* Lisa Creed & Emma Skurnik--Painting
* David Boynton--soy candles
* Sarah Howe--Pottery

* Kids activities including natural dyed eggs, environmental games, face 
painting and paper flower making
* Fish fry, Gorditas & Tamales
* Baked goods & Mexican Cheesecake
