The first-ever Downtown Durham Home Expo will showcase exciting
opportunities for living in or near Downtown Durham. This event will appeal
to home buyers, renters, and investors who are eager to participate in the
Downtown Renaissance and join the growing community of artists,
entrepreneurs and residents moving back to the city center. The Expo is
hosted by ABCD <http://abcddurham.com/> - the Arts & Business Coalition of
Downtown.

Presenters will include developers, Realtors R, lenders, housing agencies,
community non-profits, and neighborhood associations. Urban lofts,
apartments, condos, historic properties, single-family homes and
fixer-uppers will all be featured, representing a continuum from luxury to
affordable housing. Properties in historic neighborhoods adjacent to the
city center, which consider themselves part of the downtown community, will
also be included.

In addition to existing homes, lofts and historic renovations already
completed and available, visitors to the Expo will get an inside look at the
dozens of residential projects being planned and scheduled to become
available over the next several months.

Presenters will be arranged at tables and booths on the main floor of the
historic Kress Building, at the corner of Mangum Street and Main Street.
Greenfire Development, who is renovating this building into condos, has
generously donated the use of this space for the Expo. Drop in anytime and
browse. A series of optional, brief seminars will be scheduled throughout
the evening allowing visitors to break out and explore particular topics in
more depth.

Anyone is welcome to join this event as a presenter or contributor. Please
email scott at centerstudioarchitecture.com for more information.

Complimentary beer and wine will be provided by Joe and Jo's. Great snacks
and hors d'oeuvres will be donated by other downtown restaurants and
caterers. Additional contributors have made financial donations to cover
the expenses of this event.

Durham's Downtown Renaissance follows a national trend toward rediscovery
and reinvestment in historic city centers. Durham's authentic culture,
however, supports a uniquely creative and economically diverse community
that is missing in many renovated downtowns across the country. Durham's
vibrant sense of community is nowhere stronger than in Downtown.

Come live in the Soul of the City.
