This just happened and it merits your immediate attention. It was the
third such episode of this same scam reported to the DPD today. So pass
this along to your neighborhood and PAC list servers to get the info out.
It's scarry to think this is happening and folks are watching your house
for a delivery.

Here's a curious one...
Was checking online banking information.
Noticed a rather significant charge on a card I never use.
Called the online vendor (SEARS.com) whom I've never done business with.
They said the online order was placed using my credit card along with my
address, phone number, but under another name.
Told me to deny the delivery, and contact their Loss Prevention group, my
bank, etc... all done.
UPS arrived this afternoon with "the laptop", I denied it.
Called the local DPD and they said another guy called just an hour earlier
reporting the same thing.
So I'm expecting someone driving around the neighborhood this afternoon,
maybe tomorrow looking for loose
packages on the doorstep that they would pick up...
Be on guard.
