INC NEWS - Lifeguard training opportunity

LIFEGUARD TRAINING AVAILABLE!

The Durham Parks and Recreation Department along with the American Red
Cross will provide an opportunity for 40 of Durham's youth to attend the
Durham Aquatic School for free. Classes will be held on Monday-Friday
April 9 - 13, 2007 from 8am-6pm at Edison Johnson Aquatic Center (600 W.
Murray Avenue). All lifeguard candidates must be Durham students who are
at least 15 years old and capable of passing the pre-course swim test.
The registration deadline is Monday, March 26. 

 

Upon successful completion of the Lifeguard Training Course students
will be certified in Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for the Professional
Rescuer and First Aid Basics. Durham Parks and Recreation will have
employment applications available on the last day of the course.
