Bimbe Cultural Arts Festival 560-4355
Historic Durham Bulls Athletic Park
The Festival will take place on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. -10:00 p.m. and
will feature an eclectic mix of music and dance celebrating African American
traditions. The festival will continue on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. ­ 6:00 p.m.
and will feature jazz and gospel performances. There will also be a Bimbe
Market place for visual artist exhibits, a variety of food vendors and an
interactive Kids Village.

Festivals within a Festival: The festival is a quality-driven festival and
offers a unique showcase of international and cultural entertainment, area
restaurant food sampling, art and cultural experiences (with some being
interactive including dance,) and a unique mix of interactive family
entertainment.  Entertainment includes Taste of Jazz & Blues, International
Dance Demonstrations, International Wine and Beer Tasting, Chef
Demonstrations: Ice Carving Competition, Taste of New Orleans¹s Mardi Gras,
Kids Corner, Art is Alive:  Vendor & Exhibitor Displays, and more.   The
group¹s ³mission is to give back to the community, build stronger community
relations, support economic development as it pertains to community growth,
and enrich the community by contributing to high-quality lifestyle
experiences with arts and cultural theme programs and festivals.²
General Admission: $4 advance & $6 at festival.  Time: 11am to 7pm
