INC NEWS - FW: Durham Community Event Calendar 5-24-07

Many folks are already subscribed to receive these weekly eCalendars on
events in Durham as shown below but many of you are requesting
information on how to receive it.   Those interested can find a link to
subscribe at the bottom.   This information is pulled from the Durham
Community Event Calendar that DCVB has created and maintained since the
early '90s when officials requested a common calendar useful to
residents and visitors that could be maintained in a central location.
Several thousand residents are already subscribed and about a thousand
regularly open and use it each week..

Even organizers can add or update events through links at the bottom.
Currently there are more than 8,000 events listed annually.   It is also
a good source to use to clear dates for future events.   Feel free to
relay this to other groups or individuals who may not be aware.
Subscription is not restricted.  Many news media use the calendar to
update listings and the Durham News Service distributes the calendar to
news media across the state.
