National HIV Testing Day

Knowledge is Power.  Get the facts.  Get Tested for HIV. June 27th is
National HIV Testing Day.  In observance of National HIV testing day there
will be two HIV testing events in Durham. One testing event will be hosted
by the Durham chapter of the NAACP, on Sunday June 24th from 4 to 6 p.m.
at Holy Cross Catholic Church on 1400 South Alston Avenue.  Screening will
be provided by the Durham County Health Department.

Another testing event will be hosted by Healing with CAARE Inc, and will
be held on Wednesday, June 27th from 3p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 214 Broadway
St, in Durham. Screening will be provided by Healing with CAARE Inc., in
partnership with the Durham County Health Department and El Centro
Hispano.

The purpose of the events is to increase community awareness about the
importance of HIV counseling and testing and to encourage people to learn
their HIV status.
