Greetings on behalf of the Durham City-County Environmental Affairs Board
(EAB),

The EAB, in conjunction with the City of Durham, Durham County, and the
Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization, held the
public forum of Durham's proposed Greenhouse Gas Action Plan on June 21st,
2007.   For reference, the current draft plan and executive summary of
Durham's proposed Greenhouse Gas Action Plan as well as the summary
posters from the public forum can be found at
http://www.durhamnc.gov/ghg/ghg_page3.cfm.  While many came to the forum
and expressed their questions and concerns, there are additional
opportunities to express your thoughts and ideas on how to improve the
proposed plan. 

A survey on Durham's proposed Greenhouse Gas Action Plan has been put
online and can be found at http://www.durhamnc.gov/ghg/ghg_survey.cfm.
 The survey is a wonderful aid for informing the combined governmental
entities on public opinion and thought regarding the proposed Greenhouse
Gas Action Plan.  If the electronic form of the survey is insufficient,
paper copies can be picked up at the front counter of the Planning
Department.  Additionally, any comments about the proposed Greenhouse Gas
Action Plan that are not covered in the survey questions can be sent to
Transportation Planner Ellen Beckman at Ellen.Beckman at DurhamNC.gov or to
me at the below contact information.  

Please share this information anyone else that might be interested and
encourage them to make comments or fill out the survey.  Citizen input is
vital for the plan to be effective.  Thank you.
