Durham County citizens should receive their 2007 real estate and personal
property tax bills the week of July 23rd 2007.   The Tax Office has
contracted with SunTrust Bank to obtain processing for all mailed
payments.  All processing work is done here in Durham.  Taxpayers should
mail their payments to PO Box 30090, Durham, NC 27702.   Taxes must be
paid on or before January 7, 2008 to avoid interest and additional
collection costs. 

Citizens who need to make payment arrangements on their 2007 real and
personal property tax bill should complete the payment plan agreement form
on the reverse side of the tax bill.  The first installment along with the
completed payment plan agreement form should be mailed to Durham County
Tax, PO Box 3397, Durham NC 27702 prior to September 15, 2007.

For your convenience, Durham County Tax Administration offers the option
to use E-Services for payment of your 2007 tax bill.  Taxpayers can take
advantage of paying the 2007 tax bill by credit card or scheduling an
electronic check payments.   Information regarding how to pay by using
e-services is located on the top portion of the tax bill or you can visit
our website at tax.durhamcountync.gov and follow the link for On-line Tax
Payments.  Citizens can even lookup their tax bill on-line prior to
receiving the mailed copy on our website.

Taxpayers can also obtain tax bill information and parcel information by
visiting our website at tax.durhamcountync.gov or by contacting the Durham
County Tax Call Center at (919)560-0300.
