ANNOUNCEMENT
The Durham Board of County Commissioners solicits applicants to fill positions on the following citizen boards and commissions:
• Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee (7 positions)
• Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Board (3 positions—1 Health, 1 Senior Advocacy and 1 Education)
• Board of Adjustment (1 “Alternate” position)
• Cable TV Advisory Board (2 positions)
• Criminal Justice Partnership Act Advisory Board (2 positions—Representative of a Community-based Corrections Program & 1 At-large)
• Emergency Medical Services Council (4 Positions—2 First Responders;1 Eno Volunteer Fire Dept. & 1 New Hope Volunteer Fire Dept and 1 Law Enforcement—Sheriff’s Department)
• Historic Preservation Commission (1 “Registered Landscape Architect” position)
• Multi-Jurisdictional Advisory Board (1 position)
• Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee (2 positions)
• Open Space & Trails Commission (4 positions—1 “Mangum Township” & 3 At-large)
• Public Health Board (1 “Optometrist” position)
• Women’s Commission (1 position)
Property tax listing must be current. County and City taxes must not reflect any delinquencies before an application is submitted.
Appointments will be considered by the County Commissioners on Monday,
November 26, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, second floor, Durham County Government Administrative Complex, 200 East Main Street.
