There needs to be a moratorium on new building, and clear-cutting  
needs to be simply illegal if
Durham is not to become hideous. There are enough run-down, deserted  
areas that could benefit
wonderfully by being revamped and would keep the construction  
industry plenty employed without
destroying more forest and ignoring the water situation. But this  
idea does take some ingenuity,
resourcefulness, and a love of the area. Em
