EPA says that the school trailers don't have the same issues as the FEMA trailers since they aren't trailers -- but EPA said the FEMA trailers weren't an issue either, so.....

Anyhow, EPA is taking comments on Formaldehyde in pressed wood products until Feb 1.

Temporary classrooms still may be tested

The recent disclosure of elevated formaldehyde levels in
FEMA residential trailers has no health implications for
what often are referred to as "classroom
trailers," according to an agency official. 
 That's because the hundreds of "modular
buildings" installed post-Katrina on school campuses
throughout the Gulf Coast are not trailers, said John
Connolly, the Federal Emergency Management Agency's
public assistance chief for Louisiana. 
 Nonetheless, FEMA officials are weighing the merits of
testing the temporary classrooms, he said, and the talks may
result in an err-on-the-side-of-caution policy to provide
formaldehyde testing for a school system that requests it.
