Durham's legislators are notably lacking as co-sponsors on this bill, so if you can drop them a note this morning, it would be great

A companion bill to Senate Bill 151, House Bill 148, was introduced late Wednesday by Representive Becky Carney (D-Mecklenberg), Lucy Allen (D-Franklin), Deborah Ross (D-Wake) and Bill McGee (R-Forsyth).

Someone who knows the bill as well as anyone says that there have been changes from the 2008, mostly in regard to counties in and around the Triangle. One interesting statewide change is proposed authorization available for any county in the state to levy up to $7 per motor vehicle to be used only for public transit. I hope everyone on this list will take note of that.
it's great to see the bi-partisan nature of the sponsors for these bills. The House bill may have several more co-sponsors by tomorrow, I'm told.

Senate Bill 151, Congestion Relief/Intermodal Transport Fund, was introduced today by Wake Senator Richard Stevens.
It has 16 co-sponsors, out of 50 Senators.

Based on the House record of bills introduced today (just arrived), a House "companion" has not yet been put in the hopper.
The version appears identical to the 2008 version(s), but have not read closely enough to tell.
