Durham JobLink Mobile Unit Visits Career Center

Mobile Unit to Help with High Volume of Traffic at Center

 

What:              Durham JobLink Mobile Unit Visits JobLink Career Center

 

Who:               City of Durham, Durham JobLink Career Center, and the State of North Carolina Division of Workforce Development

 

When:             Monday, March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Monday, April 6, 13, 20, 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Tuesday, May 5, 12, 19, 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Fast Facts

·         In an effort to assist with the high volume of traffic at the Durham JobLink Career Center, the City of Durham, the Durham JobLink Career Center, and the State of North Carolina Division of Workforce Development are partnering to bring in the JobLink Mobile Unit to help handle the extra customer traffic flow.  

 

·         Durham JobLink Mobile Unit will be providing on-site assistance with résumé writing, career and job search information, and assistance with job applications.  All applicants should bring their social security card and photo identification.  

 

·         Durham job seekers applying for unemployment insurance benefits should continue using the JobLink Career Center so that they can obtain staff assistance for other services such as interviewing help, labor market information, and career counseling. 

 

·         The Durham JobLink Mobile Unit is a service provided by the Durham JobLink Career Center, which is a partnership that brings workers from across the community together with potential employers.  Durham's JobLink Career Center brings together an array of services geared to:

	*	Help area residents find employment; 
	*	Increase the education and training of the local workforce;  
	*	Assist area employers in filling job openings.
