at the Durham Earth Day Festival
Saturday, April 25, 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
Downtown Durham

 

The Durham Earth Day Festival will draw people from all over the
Triangle to celebrate the earth and learn more about green living.
Highlights include: the Earth Day Parade, "green" raffle prizes,
hands-on environmental activities, Kid's Zone, The Eco Lounge,
Sustainability and Transportation Expos, Stream Clean-ups and more.
Musical and performing guests include Carnavalito, The Wigg Report,
TROSA Band, Scene of the Crime Rovers, DJ Piddipat, Music Explorium and
Paperhand Puppet Intervention.  Special guests include Durham Mayor
William "Bill" Bell and William Chameides, Dean of the Nicholas School
of the Environment at Duke University. The festival is free and open to
all ages. 

VOLUNTEER 
Give your time to help promote environmental causes and green living in
Durham.  On April 25, the Durham Earth Day Festival will need volunteers
for parking, operations, main stage, kids' activities, hospitality and
more.  We depend on volunteers to run a smooth and successful festival!
You can also made Durham's streams cleaner by participating in the Earth
Day Stream Clean-ups, which take place before the festival.  For more

SHOWCASE YOUR GREEN BUSINESS OR ORGANIZATION
The Durham Earth Day Festival is a great place to gain exposure for the
green aspects of your business or organization.  Space is now available
for: food/beverage vendors, artists, businesses, education/non-profits.
