Durham Hosts Celebratory Cook-Out for Juniper Street Site Clean-Up

 

What:              Celebratory Cook-Out for Clean-Up Completion of the
Former City Landfill on Juniper Street

 

Who:               Durham City Council, City Manager Thomas Bonfield,
City's Department of Neighborhood Improvement Services, Partners Against
Crime (PAC) 1, and the Albright Community

 

When:             Saturday, June 20, 2009, at 12 p.m. 

(Immediately following the conclusion of the PAC 1 monthly meeting)

 

Where:            Albright Community Garden Site

                        1000 block of Juniper Street, Durham 

 

Fast Facts:

*         PAC 1 members, Albright Community residents, and other members
of District 1 are invited to a free, celebratory cook-out in recognition
of the recent clean-up of debris at the former City landfill on Juniper
Street.

 

*         City Council members and City Manager Thomas Bonfield will be
in attendance to help celebrate this long-awaited accomplishment,
recently completed through collaboration between the City's Departments
of Neighborhood Improvement Services, Solid Waste Management, and Public
Works.
