Durham Construction Forecast Forum April 8

Construction Professionals to Discuss Key Projects Coming in Next Two
Years; 

All Members of the Construction Community Invited

 

What:              Durham Construction Forecast for 2010 through 2012

Opportunity/Equity Assurance (EO/EA) and the Equal Business Opportunity
Program Advisory Board

Fast Facts:

*         This forum will allow attendees the chance to learn more about
Durham's construction forecast over the next two years from construction
industry panelists, including representatives from the City of Durham,
Carolinas Associated General Contractors (AGC), Durham County
Government, Duke University, Duke University Medical Center, Durham
Public Schools, and North Carolina Central University.

 

*         According to Deborah Giles, director of the City's Department
of Equal Opportunity/Equity Assurance (EO/EA), construction activities
are an important element to Durham's overall economic health and the
goal of this event is for all members of the construction community to
hear directly from key organizations on what construction projects are
expected over the next two years.

 

*         Refreshments will be served and attendees are asked to

The City of Durham's Department of Equal Opportunity/Equity Assurance
(EO/EA) is responsible for the implementation of the City's Equal
Business Opportunity Program (EBOP).  Responsibilities include
implementation of race and gender neutral measures to facilitate the
participation of Small Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (SDBEs) in
City contracting activity, SDBE recruitment, certification, and
maintenance of SDBE data bank, business development, City project
