I have read through and here his my summary:1) Historic Preservation: new division between minor and major certificate of appropriateness, where minor one doesn't take a public hearing2) DRB: just a clarification of words introducing the list3) Protest petition: incorporating the new law on calculation method for the county4) Architectural review: put limit on on how long you can let it sit on the table5) Group living uses: now require minor use permit for PDR and MU6) Clarification on different sizes of catering operations, separation of brewery vs. microbrewery (micro is light industrial, brewery isn't), plus regional recycling is no longer light industrial7) Limits / conditions on various uses (hotels, firing ranges) -- clarifications that generally make it easier to fit stuff into a site, but no real concerns8) Steep slopes in conservation subdivisions -- don't get credit for steep slopes created by the development9) Clear cutting: Some revisions to definition to conform to state standards of what is "clear cutting"10) Floodplain: Links to new FEMA and state law stuff, floodplain administrator now has to approve substantial improvements to construction in floodplain11) Impervious surface credits: the % in the low density option depends on how close to Jordan it is, and this prohibits getting credit inmore restricted area for donating is less restricted area. I wonder who tried to trade brass for gold that made them aware there was a loophole there.12) Billboards: revise non-conforming bb to conform to state law -- they can now move 0.01 mi (this lets them move billboard if the road is getting widened) and for damaged signs, must be removed only if damage is >50% of value, rather than old value of 25%13) There are a couple things that probably came from doing the details of projects like Ninth Street North: calculating height limits on the basis of buildings (not the entire development including parking, etc), variations in frontage types, clarifying active open space14) Parking: sets minimum parking for movie theaters, nightclubs, etc. by floor space rather than seating space (this will increase the number of parking spaces for some things?) and loosen requirements in areas that are eventually meant to be transit areas but have no clear plan for transit yet.15) Lots of other little things Regards, pat
