[Durham INC] Street sweeping?

I just wanted to thank Dale McKeel, the city's Bicycle and Pedestrian
Coordinator, for taking the time to track down the relevant folks at
City Hall to answer this question. What i've learned is that, while
there is no exact schedule for street sweeping, according to city
officials "it normally takes about a month and a half to two months to
get around all the curve paved streets that the city have."

So it looks like our neighborhood will see another sweeping during
Christmas week, or perhaps earlier or later depending on how the
holidays impact things. Hopefully a phone call or two next week will pin
down the exact date.

I'll leave it as an exercise for readers of this list to determine
whether a 2 month street sweeping schedule during the fall in a city
whose streets are lined with deciduous trees is adequate or not.
