* Backyard chicken workshop 

Saturday, Feb 19 at 10AM
Carolina & Green, Old West Durham

Come see hens in action and learn the ins and outs of backyard chickens. Vicky & Eric have a nice set-up and can explain how they got started (and even offer tips about feathered predators that swoop down from the Pin Oaks, trying to pick up chickens and joggers).


* Neighborhoods Hike: West Durham & beyond

Saturday, April 9 at 9AM
Meet at Ninth & Green (free)

4-mile loop goes through Old West Durham, Watts-Hillandale, Walltown, Trinity Heights, Trinity Park and East Campus... You'll see a little nature and hear some Durham history along the way. We might even get into current events in the Bull City.

Lawndale, between Oakland & Alabama

Meet old friends and bump into new neighbors in the middle of the street. Potluck. Neighborhood bands. Street chalk for kids.
