Fast Facts:
* The three-and-a-half acres that make up the Old North Durham
Park were acquired by the City 18 years ago in 1993.
* The City exchanged the former Edgemont Park property on Alston
Avenue with Durham Public Schools in return for the playing field behind
the closed Old North Durham School. The Edgemont Park site is now
Eastway Elementary School and the former Old North Durham School is now
home of TROSA.
* Edgemont Park had a deed restriction that required the City to
keep it as a public recreation space and that deed restriction came with
the land exchange.
* The Old North Durham Park will continue to be open to the
public as a recreation site.
* For additional information on this plan contact FONDP at
friendsondp at gmail.com.
* Spanish speaking interpreters will be on hand at each meeting.
* Notice Under the Americans with Disabilities Act: Persons who
require assistance should call (919) 560-4197, TTY (919) 560-1200, or
