All:

The former Chairman of the NAACP Julian Bond has been very vocal in his
support for gay marriage both during and after his tenure.

The Baltimore branch of the NAACP is partnering with a number of
organizations to create marriage equality in Maryland.

For me, sitting on the sidelines by not taking a position is not a positive
model. As the state of NY demonstrated it is possible to carve out religious
protections while at the time creating civic marriage.
