Durham Public Schools Public Input Sessions

Community will offer feedback to Board on student assignment/magnet
proposal

 

 

In an effort to gather input from the community regarding the student
assignment/magnet proposal presented on November 16, the Durham Public
Schools Board of Education will hold three public input sessions.

 

6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 1 @ Riverside High (auditorium)

6:30 p.m. Monday, December 5 @ Jordan High (auditorium)

6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 8 @ Southern High (cafeteria)

 

The Board of Education has approved the following format for the student
assignment/magnet input sessions:

-          Sign-ups will take place from 6:00-6:45 p.m.

-          Speakers must sign up to speak and will be called in the
order of sign-up

-          Speakers can only sign up for themselves

-          Speakers will be allotted 2 or 3 minutes depending upon the
number of participants

-          There will be no dialog, Board members are there to listen
and take notes

-          Well-planned and thought-provoking comments are most helpful
