Hello,

As many of you know I do a lot of dog rescue. There are three of us girls that pull from a shelter in Galax, Virginia. This is my home-town, and quite honestly, one of the worst shelters I've seen. We have made a lot of progress, but we have also accumulated a huge vet bill! Unfortunately, we lost almost 30 dogs to distemper over the course of several months. Treating and vaccinating them has been a major cost.  However, we were also fortunate to find a vaccine that saved some of the puppies. A vet in Galax, Heather Jenkins with Healing Springs Animal Hospital, has been very kind in helping us so that we can continue to save more dogs. We use her barn to house them until we can find fosters, rescues, or permanent homes. 

Before we continue to save more dogs we need to start paying on our bill at Healing Springs. If you could give even $10.00 it would be greatly appreciated, and it would go to a good cause. You can write the check directly to Healing Springs. Their website is www.healingspringsanimalhospital.com. 

I really do not like asking for money in these tough times, but we can't afford to pay anymore for ourselves. We can also use dog and puppy food, treats, toys, and anything else you would like to donate. We are finally making positive progress for this shelter, and we want to see all of this continue. If you have any questions please send me a personal email. We are also in desperate need for foster homes, so let me know if you would be interested in fostering a great dog or puppy as well.
