Thanks to the  feedback, a date has been chosen - Sat. Jan 14
 
Will provide  another reminder as we get closer, but mark your calendars.  
Volunteers  should bring rakes and pitchforks if you have them.
 
Once again,  please forward this email to your neighborhoods. A small job 
(with enough  volunteers) that will reap huge rewards. Together we can save 
the old oaks, and  make Durham's oldest park an even better place to play for 
us all.

Bill: It looks like the 2nd Saturday in January  (1/14) works best for the 
most people.  Can you get the word out?   From my original text you may want 
to add that folks will need pitchforks and  rakes more than shovels.  The 
planting will pale in comparison to the  amount of mulch that will have to be 
moved.   
I intend to have the timbers in place to create the  beds/terraces.  If you 
have an interest in the process let me know.   I have some scale maps that 
I intend to mark up this week with locations of  proposed terraces, beds, 
and individual trees.
