[Durham INC] Fw: Community Summit!

Is anyone else interested from INC to attend this organizational meeting?

Unfortunately,  I will be in Ohio for a family  memorial/funeral service next weekend and can not attend.

However,  I have a number of files, documents and templates on my computer that were used several years ago when INC held its first neighborhood summits from 1999 to 2001.

I can bring them on a memory stick to the next INC meeting on January 25th (next Tuesday).

Good Evening Everyone, Happy New Year! I hope all is well. I would like to invite you to a planning meeting to plan the community summit. I would like to meet on January 27, 2012 at the UDI Business Center. The address is 800 N. Mangum street. The meeting will start at 5:30pm and go to about 6:30pm. I hope to just get volunteers to head up subcommittees. Subcommittees are site, structure, goals and funding. Topics for the summit are Crime, Housing, Homeless Services and Community Involvement. I know these are hot topics and there needs to be a lot of discussion and we need to be clear on what we want to come out of the summit. I think if we have clear goals and outcome that we can really start effective changes in Durham, especially if we have community involvement. Please RSVP if you can attend.
