Time: 7 p.m.
Location: East Regional Library

About: Durham County Library hosts the third of a four-part series, The Liberated Gardener, on making gardening more fun and sustainable. Horticultural professional, Frank Hyman, believes that the purpose of the garden is to please the gardener. He asks, "Would it be easier to enjoy your garden if you didn't feel enslaved by it?" Hyman will share tips on how to have great gardens while spending less time working in them, and more time relaxing in them. Participants will learn money saving tips and become more environmentally responsible. The program takes place at the East Regional Library, 211 Lick Creek Lane, on Thursday, January 26 at 7 p.m.
Hyman has been published in the New York Times; he is a columnist for the Durham News and Urban Farm and a contributing editor for Horticulture.
This event is sponsored by Durham Library Foundation. For more information about the program, contact Joanne Abel at 560-0268.
