[Durham INC] FW: Filing for Running for Public Office Begins Today

The districts are all changed, and if you are curious about who you will be able to vote for, go to:https://www.ncsbe.gov/VoterLookup.aspx?Feature=voterinfo
Put in your name and choose "show me my voter information."  You might have to select among registered people who share your name.
About half-way down the page on your registration info, it says "My Districts."  If you click on that, it will show what districts you will get to vote for.
If your name doesn't have any voter information (or the information is wrong), go to http://www.ncsbe.gov/content.aspx?id=1&s=1 to find out how to register.

Durham County Board of Elections Announces the Start of the 2012 Candidate Filing Period  
 Durham, NC- Candidate filing in Durham County begins at noon on Monday, February 13, 2012 for a variety of local offices.  Candidates may file for the following Durham County offices: 

NC Senate Districts 20 and 22                                     1 seat each district 
NC House of Representatives                                       1 seat each district Districts 29, 30, 31 and 50 County Commissioner                                                    5 seats Board of Education at-Large                                         1 seat Board of Education Consolidated Dist A.                      1 seat Board of Education Consolidated Dist B.                      1 seat 

Applicable filing fees must be paid to the Board of Elections at the time of filing with an individual check or money order payable to: Durham County Board of Elections. The filing period ends at noon on Wednesday, February 29.
