I'm not sure that commenting on these "rectifications" will do anything, but thought you should know.

Dear Organization Representatives: The Durham City Council and the Durham County Board of Commissioners adopted the Durham Comprehensive Plan to guide the future development of land within their jurisdictions. In certain circumstances, changed community conditions or the age of the adopted plan may warrant an adjustment to the plan. In accordance with the Unified Development Ordinance, governing boards are required to hold a public hearing to rectify any differences between adopted plans of the City and County. When plan amendments are adopted by either the Board of County Commissioners or the City Council, the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) is made inconsistent. Six plan amendments were approved by the County Board of Commissioners or the City Council in 2011 (see Table 1, Summary of 2011 Adopted Plan Amendments). The meeting will be held in the County Board Room of the Durham Courthouse located at 200 East Main Street, on the 2nd Floor.  ·          ·         The Durham City Council will meet on March 19, 2012 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers in City Hall (101 City Hall Plaza).  Planning staff will make a presentation on the case A1200001, Rectification of 2011 Plan Amendments at these meetings.
