Sewer Repair Today to Affect Traffic at Main and Duke Streets
Intersection

Residents Urged Use Caution When Traveling Through the Construction Zone

 

DURHAM, N.C.- The City of Durham Water Management Department is
repairing a sewer line at the intersection of Main and Duke streets,
which will impact traffic on both streets today for several hours. 

 

The City's contractor is working as quickly as possible to limit
disruptions to residents, businesses, and vehicular traffic. Travel
lanes are expected to be reduced through the intersection and traffic
control measures are in place to guide motorists through the
construction zone. Motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid this
area if possible.

 

About the Water Management Department
The City's Water Management Department is responsible for the operation
and maintenance of Durham's water supply, water treatment and water
reclamation (wastewater treatment) facilities, the collection and
distribution systems (including meter reading), and customer billing
