Durham County Library Hosts Inspirational Fiction Author Alice Wisler
'Guilty Pleasures: A Celebration of Genre Fiction' Series Continues

Cost: Free and open to the public
About: Christian fiction author, Alice Wisler, will read from her latest novel and discuss her books and experiences as a writer of inspirational works. She notes that all of her novels, set in North Carolina, "have components of Southern fiction like sweet tea, grits and other things to bless your little heart." Wisler authored Rain Song, How Sweet It Is, Hatteras Girl and most recently A Wedding Invitation. She is a two-time Christy Award finalist. The Christy Award, named for Catherine Marshall's bestselling novel Christy, is awarded yearly to recognize novels of excellence in the genre of Christian Fiction.
The reading and discussion will take place on Sunday, April 15 at 3 p.m. at North Regional Library, 221 Milton Road. A book signing will follow.
This author talk is part of the DCL series, "Guilty Pleasures: A Celebration of Genre Fiction." Future programs in the series include visits from David Halperin, author of the science fiction novel Journal of a UFO Investigator, on Tuesday, May 23, at Southwest Regional Library; and Katy Munger, author of three mystery series, on Thursday, June 21 at the Main Library.
