Month Day, Year
Dear Melissa,

The baby bird nursery is getting full and we do not have enough help to take care of the animals. We have just started our new summer hours (see details below). The baby season is here and new arrivals are a daily occurrence.

It is not possible for one or two people to handle the hundreds of phone calls, feedings, caring for injuries, cleaning etc.  We need volunteers to commit to regular shifts.

Although we appreciate the willingness to help, it is nonproductive in the long run for someone to come only once or twice.  Due to the time it takes our limited staff to train while still juggling all their other duties, we ask that you commit to at least once a week, or at a minimum every other week in order for you and the animals to benefit. Two to three volunteers per shift are desperately needed!

For those of you who have never volunteered and would like to help, please see instructions at the bottom of this email.

Summer Hours: (seven days a week)

-8:00AM - 12noon
-12 noon - 4:00PM
-4:00PM - 8:00PM
-6:00PM - 9:30PM

These are our preferred times, but if you can come for just a couple of hours at a time, or need to span two shifts, we can still use your help.  The last shift will end when the evening chores are completed.  We have added the evening shift, so that those of you who would like to help after work can give us valuable assistance at the last feeding and cleanup, which is critical for the next morning to start smoothly.

For those who have not previously volunteered with us, send an email to volcood at trianglewildlife.orgwith the following information:
	* phone number in order to set up a calendar account for you
	* your availability

Please pass this information onto friends who have some spare time and have a commitment to wildlife.

Ann Rogers
Volunteer coordinator
