Because an independent candidate has entered the race, this year's democratic primary is unique in that it does NOT determine our county commissioners election.


Hello all, as many of you know, county-commissioner candidateWendy Jacobs was the wizard that made the New Hope Reserve happen. Others helped, but we were all pulled together by her remarkable ability. She has also been a well-respected planning commissioner with no special/private agenda and is strong on her long-term commitments to racial equity, affordable housing, education, LGBT rights, and transparency and fairness for all Durham residents.



Wendy needs all of us to get elected. On Sept 29 (next Saturday), you can make a small $15 donation to Wendy's campaign, meet some wonderful people (including Wendy), and eat great patisseries and chocolates (and enjoy great live music) to boot -- all at the fabulous Duke Tower (3-5 PM). Please share this message with like-minded friends - the event will be well worth your every second.
