Kick off your holiday shopping season at the Preservation Party!
Mingle with friends and enjoy a drink and some delicious food 
provided by Durham restaurants. Strolling emcee and Durham history 
maven Tom Miller challenges partygoers with the ever-popular Durham 
History Quiz, awarding fabulous prizes for correct answers. Note to 
trivia players: watch Tom's eyebrows for help with those more 
difficult questions about the Bull City!

The Preservation Party Silent Auction provides a great opportunity to 
bid on exciting goods and services donated by local businesses. Some 
of last year's offerings included tickets for the Betty 
Buckley-Broadway by Request performance on November 20 (Carolina 
Theatre), movie passes (Carolina Theatre), $50 gift certificates 
(Arete Gallery), gift certificates (Hamilton Hill Jewelry), a lovely 
vase (Nomadic Trading Company), and a Bag of Books (Regulator 
Bookshop). All proceeds of silent auction sales support Preservation 
Durham's preservation programs, and 10% of the sales of Morgan 
Imports merchandise during the event will be donated to PD, so plan 
to shop til you drop!
