      My daughter won this contest last year, and the awards ceremony was very memorable. She was probably more excited about the $50 though -- smile (her teacher received $30).
Homeschoolers, Charters, Montessoris, Public Schools...any child can participate.

Attention Educators! Don’t miss out on a great opportunity for your students to participate in the 2013 Conservation Contests sponsored by the Durham Soil and Water Conservation District. These contests are
 open to ALL students grades 3 – 9th in Durham County. Teachers, parents and student club leaders are encouraged to register their students to participate. Not only will the student be learning as they research the topic and prepare their entry,
 but they will be exercising their creativity.  
   
Teachers: All contests have been correlated to the new NC DPI Standard Course of Study and the new Common Core State Standards.
 
   
Please encourage your students to participate and pass this email along to others who might be intersted.
