Professional Placement Network Academy Launches

First Event of 2013 Set for January 17; RSVP Requested

DURHAM, N.C. - Career minded and job-seeking professionals now have an
opportunity to participate in the expansion of one of Durham's best
opportunities for job search success.

The Professional Placement Network Academy (PPNA), formerly the
Professional Placement Network, will offer expanded career placement
services to adult professionals by increasing networking opportunities,
workshops, development of business partnerships, and job referrals.
Designed to provide opportunities for mid-to-upper level professionals
who have earned at least $30,000 per year or have received higher
education credentials or professional certifications, PPNA provides a
place for professionals to come together to share ideas, employment
leads, and current job market information.

The first event, which will focus on how to manage personal finances, is
Thursday, January 17, 2013, from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Springhill
Suites, located at 5310 McFarland Drive, Durham.

The PPNA will host a series of interactive workshops on topics for every
job-seeker. Other topics for this year include setting personal vision
statements and negotiating one's compensation package. Events occur the
third Thursday of every month. New for this year, participants who
attend four classes will gain entrance to a unique, invitation-only
employment networking event.

Participants interested in learning more about the PPNA or attending
this Thursday's event should visit http://www.DurhamPPN.org or RSVP at
http://durhamppn011713-es2.eventbrite.com/?rank=1#
