New "City Hall This Week" Begins February 1

New Deputy City Manager Shares His Vision for the Operations Team; 

City Employees Exceed Giving Campaign Goal

 

DTV8's "City Hall This Week" will debut a new show tonight at 8 p.m.
Hosted by Senior Public Affairs Specialist Amy Blalock, this show will

City Begins Process of Setting Spending Priorities for 2013-2014 Budget

There are multiple opportunities for Durham residents to have input into
the development of the City's 2013-2014 budget. Five Coffee with Council
sessions will be held during February and March at various locations

Mayor Bell Ready to Set Durham's Course for the Year Ahead in State of
the City Address

Mayor William V. "Bill" Bell is ready to unveil his plan for Durham for
the year ahead. His annual State of the City address will be given
before the City Council's regular meeting on Monday, February 4 at City
Hall. If you can't attend in person, it will be televised live on DTV8
and on the City's website.

 

Durham's New Deputy City Manager Hits the Ground Running

Durham's new deputy city manager is already hard at work overseeing some
of the City's most important day-to-day services affecting residents. Bo
Ferguson joined the City in early January and is in charge of leading
Durham's operations team. Ferguson explains which City services are
included in this team and what his vision is for how these services are
provided.

 

City of Durham Employees Exceed Giving Campaign Goal

City of Durham employees are continuing to exceed expectations when
giving back to their community. Most recently, they exceeded their
fundraising goal for the 7 Stars Employee Giving Campaign by donating
more than $110,000 dollars to local and national non-profits. The goal
for 2012 was to raise $100,000. The majority of the money came from
individual employee pledges of more than $85,000.
