What: Taxes and Workers' Compensation Insurance Seminar for
Small Business Owners
Who: Office of Economic and Workforce Development, City of
Durham's Small Business Advisory Committee, the North Carolina Institute
of Minority Economic Development, North Carolina Department of Revenue,
and the Greater Durham Black Chamber of Commerce
When: Thursday, March 7, 2013, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

* This workshop is designed to assist small business owners by
providing an overview of what owners need to know to successfully
navigate the North Carolina tax code, Federal Work Opportunity Tax
Credits, and Workers' Compensation Insurance requirements.
* Presentations will be made by representatives from the N.C.
Department of Revenue, N.C. Industrial Commission, N.C. Department of
Commerce Division of Workforce Solutions, and the U.S. Small Business
Administration.
* The cost to attend the panel discussion is free. However,
seating is limited, so interested attendees should reserve their spot by
