The City is on track to finish the year on budget, despite the fact that
five departments are projected to end the year over budget. The third
quarter financial report shows that revenues forecasted for the year are
$1.9 million less than what was budgeted, but spending is projected to
be $2.4 million less than expected. The complete report is available on
the City's website at http://durhamnc.gov/ich/as/bms/Pages/Home.aspx.

Parking Fees Increasing for Some City Decks

The City Council approved fee increases for some City parking decks. In
general, monthly parking will increase by $10 per month; special events
parking will increase by $1; and a $10 residential parking fee will be
reinstituted for parking in the City parking decks from 6 p.m. - 8 a.m.,
Monday-Friday as well as weekends. The total annual increase in parking
fees is estimated to provide more than $229,000 in additional revenue in
2014.
