Crochet a Scarf #11988
Saturday, November 9 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Using lovely, bulky, multi-hue yarns, participants will be guided through stages of creating a beautiful, simple skinny scarf (suitable for beginners) with additional stitches as skill allows.

Starting a backyard chicken coop #12006
Sunday, November 10 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
Love the taste of fresh eggs and the sound of hens peacefully clucking away in the background?  Then it might be time for you to start your own coop.  We will discuss the backyard chicken rules in Durham, backyard coop designs, the best family chicken breeds and how to care for them.  You'll leave this class with all the tools you need to set up your own coop.

Butter Making at Leigh Farm Park #12008
Saturday, November 16 from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.
We will briefly go over the history of butter making while making some of our very own butter.  This class is for children ages 5 - 12.  Parents must stay with their children.

Sunday, November 17 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
Making a broom is easy, fun and practical. Join us as we hear stories of tradition of all types of brooms.  Then try your hand at making your very own broom to take home.    Students of all levels will enjoy this class.

Chicken Coop Designs #12009
Sunday, November 24 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
Join local farmer, Samantha Gasson as she teaches about different types of chicken coop designs and why you would want to use a chicken house over a chicken tractor.
