[Durham INC] NGP Rodeo: Enjoy Music/Chalk Walk V & Support Club Elementary this Thursday!

Dear Neighbors, Come out for food / chalk art fun and support Club
Elementary PTA's supplies drive this Thursday! 

 

WHAT? :   Northgate Park's Food Truck Rodeo & Chalk Walk (with Musical
Guests Bull city Brakemen!)

WHEN?:    Thursday, Sept. 24, 5 - 8:30 p.m. 

WHERE?:  Near the tennis courts at Northgate Park

WHY?:       Help the PTA grow their Cans for Club backpack program (donated
food is given to students in need)*

                   Cans for Club is also supported by our "parent"
organization, Porch Durham (www.porchdurham.org) 

 

DETAILS:   Every year it's harder for struggling families & their teachers
to buy the supplies necessary for a successful school experience. You can
help at the rodeo by bringing:

 

School supplies (crayons, pens/pencils, notebooks, glue sticks, facial
tissues)

 

Food and toiletry items for Cans for Club (supported by PORCH-Durham)

 

o Individual and pop-top items for backpacks, e.g., canned meats, granola
bars, pasta cups, instant oatmeal

items)

 

o Family-sized items (dried beans, peanut butter) and toiletries/cleaning
supplies (toothpaste, laundry / dish soap)

 

Monetary donations will also be gratefully accepted for Club's PTA to aid
with teacher grants, field trips, artists in residence & classroom
equipment.

 

The weather is getting cooler, the mosquitoes are disappearing and it's time
to get outside! Come connect with known neighbors & friends (and make new
ones. :) while enjoying some toe-tapping local music, delicious cuisine from
Durham's exciting food truck scene, and a fun family friendly time making
chalk art creations. (supplies provided).
