Durham Closing Portion of East Main Street for Stormwater Culvert Repair
Closure in effect February 1 - April 22
DURHAM, N.C. - From February 1 until April 22, the City of Durham Public Works Department Stormwater and GIS Services Division<http://durhamnc.gov/692> will close a portion of East Main Street between North Maple Street and North Driver Street to repair the stormwater drainage culvert in the City right-of-way.
Construction will begin Monday, February 1, and as a result of this project, East Main Street will be closed to through-traffic between North Maple and North Driver streets for the duration of the project. The City's contractor will provide a detour and signage for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.
The estimated cost for the project is $431,000 and will be paid for with funds from the Stormwater Capital Improvement Program.
