Durham Inducts New Youth Commission Monday
Welcome Reception for 30 New Members Set for 6 p.m.

What:              Induction Ceremony for 2016-2017 Durham Youth Commission<http://durhamnc.gov/1354/Durham-Youth-Commission>

Who:               Durham City Council<http://durhamnc.gov/1323/City-Council> and the City's Office on Youth<http://durhamnc.gov/1350/Office-on-Youth>, a division of the City Manager's Office<http://durhamnc.gov/250/City-Manager>

When:             Monday, August 15, 2016, at 7 p.m.
* Welcome reception will be held at 6 p.m. in the lobby of City Hall

*         Thirty Durham youth who want a voice in their City government will soon begin serving their one-year terms on the 2016-2017 Durham Youth Commission<http://durhamnc.gov/1354/Durham-Youth-Commission> after Monday's Induction Ceremony.

*         A welcome reception for the new members will be held from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in the lobby of City Hall, followed by the Induction Ceremony during the regular City Council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. The ceremony will also be livestreamed from the City's website<http://durham.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?view_id=2> and televised live on Durham Television Network<http://durhamnc.gov/1104/Durham-Television-Network>.
