[Durham INC] Last call for Durham's Finest Trees

Close your eyes for a minute and think of the finest tree you know in Durham. Contemplate what makes it special to you. Doesn't that tree deserve some public recognition?  You have until October 1st to nominate that tree to be recognized as one of Durham's Finest Trees.  We have three categories: Largest of each species, Historical, and Meritorious (a catch-all for interesting trees that aren't large or historical). The nomination process is simple and we've included some tree identification guidelines on our website.  The tree can be on your property, public property, or someone else's property - in which case you just have to get permission from them to nominate it.  We will announce the winners at next year's Arbor Day celebration.
