What:              2016 Durham YouthWork Summit − Vote for Your Success

When:             Tuesday, November 8, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
                        (November 8 is a Durham Public Schools Teacher Workday)

Where:           Hillside High School
                        3727 Fayetteville St.
Durham, N.C. 27707

Fast Facts:
·         Durham youth, ages 14 to 24, and their parents/guardians are invited to register<http://durhamnc.gov/FormCenter/Economic-Workforce-Development-9/Durham-YouthWork-Internship-Summit-Regis-118> for the 2016 Durham YouthWork Summit − Vote for Your Success, a free event designed to help youth explore and learn about various careers, community resources, and educational opportunities.

·         Youth will be able to participate in workshops to prepare for applying for jobs and internships. Workshop topics include: Career Exploration, Using Technology Successfully in the Workplace, and the Do's and Don'ts of Your First Job. Participants will also hear from other youth on how they navigated the world of internships and careers, and have a chance interact with community organizations at the Resource Fair. Youth can also win prizes including gift cards and one larger prize. Participants should dress in business casual attire.
