There are 2 weeks remaining to get your FY17 Durham Open Space and Trails Matching Grants Application submitted.  Note the final submission deadline date has been amended to Nov. 14 at 5pm (it was Nov. 11), due to Durham County Government declaring Veterans Day as an official holiday for all employees.

As a contact for an active or former Durham Open Space and Trails Matching Grants project, or a local community organization, I wanted to provide advance notice about the Matching Grants Application Cycle being held by Durham County government. As of today the 2016-17 (Fiscal Year 2017) cycle is now open and will close at 5pm on Friday, November 11, 2016.

Updated program guidelines and application can be found here: http://dconc.gov/openspacegrants.  There are no significant changes to the program this year.  The recent changes extending the time to complete a project to 24-months and allowing organizations with currently open Matching Grants projects to apply are still in place.

The application has been updated as a form-fill document to hopefully be more user friendly for you as the customer.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about the program and feel free to share this with others that are a part of the Durham community that may be interested in this opportunity.
