[Durham INC] Fwd: Any knitting interest?

I dug out my knitting needles yesterday and looked at my "stash" of yarn.
I have a number of partial skeins that aren't large enough to complete an
adult scarf, gloves, hat, etc. But if I combined them, in any order, that
could work.
So, here's what I'm what I'm wondering. Would any of you be interested in
using your left overs, or finding left-over yarn at Scarp Exchange, etc.,
to knit something for people at Durham Urban Ministries? I'm so rusty that
I will do scarves. It's a great way to use left overs and for beginners or
folks like me to just put things together and keep someone warm.
Absolutely nothing would need to be fancy knitting, but it could be fun to
figure out how to use leftovers and create something fun and useful.
Nothing more than a basic knit stitch would be needed. It would also be a
great way to experience with various knitting stitches and to combine yarn
from different sources.
What do you think? If we come up with some things, it sounds like Urban
Ministries could use for Christmas gifting. But in any case, I think
things could be used during the winter months after Christmas.
I would love your thoughts,
Marge
