[Durham INC] Fw: Have a Say in Your Transportation Future

I would really like to see a high priority for widening of the Durham
Freeway between the under construction East End Connector and I-40. I'm in
traffic jams every day between downtown and RTP. They started about the
time that NC 147 Toll Road extension was completed a few years ago. It's
going to get much worse when the East End Connector is completed. There's
going to be several miles of 2 lanes between highways that have 3 or more
lanes. We will likely see an economic impact to Durham as frustrated
drivers avoid downtown Durham. My friends already refuse to meet me
downtown during rush hour because of the traffic on the Freeway.
Currently, widening that part of the Durham Freeway is listed but given no
priority through 2040. That's really bad planning. I've sent my comments
already and would really appreciate others sending similar comments if you
are so inclined! Thanks.
