It's going to be a beautiful sunny day at the Roots Market on Saturday, 
April 28th! A perfect day to get your Durham-fresh veggies, eggs, 
mushrooms, beef, strawberries, and garden plants! We also welcome back 
Paul Bush playing music under the shade tree.

Saturday's ten vendors include:

Accent on Annuals: We'll have veggie starts, gorgeous hanging baskets, 
Supra pink dianthus (a flower that blooms now until fall!), Mountain 
mint (probably the best pollinator plant of all), flowering tobacco, 
Can-Can carnation, monkey flower, milkweed, loads of other plants and 
cut flowers.

Bumpnose Road Farm: Mushrooms and duck eggs.

Caywood Farm: Ground beef, stew meat, steak, roasts and ribs plus some 
soup bones.

Chickpea Farm: Eggs, kale (dinosaur and tree), spinach, chard, a few 
carrots and turnips, and lots of $4 veggie starts -- basil, dill, 
tomatillo, and 15 varieties of tomatoes! See @chickpeafarm on Facebook

Dandies Farm: Spring kale, spring spinach, collard greens, baby Pac 
choi, radish, rainbow Swiss chard, Chives, Spring Onions, Mint, veggie 
and flower starts, and Cascade Hops-sprouting plants in pots.

The Family Farmstead: We’ll be bringing a variety of cuts from our 
pasture raised beef. We’ll have ground beef, cubed steak, steaks, 
roasts, short ribs and our 100% beef hotdogs.

The Microgreenery: Microgreens of our basic salad, spicy salad, and
mesclun lettuce mixes, red amaranth, sunflower microgreens rainbow 
chard, lil gem micro romaine And bulls blood beets.

Sweetwater Springs Organic Farm: We will be bringing certified 100% 
organic brown eggs and a few pints of our first harvest of certified 
organic strawberries!

Toad Hill Farm:  We've got assorted spring greens including lettuce, 
kale, tatsoi, senposai*, turnip, and beet.  Multiple radish varieties, 
possibility of some baby turnips.  (*ask your farmer about senposai....)

Esmerelda's Cafe offers hot coffee and pastries.

Please no pets, other than service animals, at the market.
